Japanese Clint Eastwood to visit New Zealand

Tourism New Zealand has proudly announced it will host Japan’s answer to Clint Eastwood – Hiroshi Tachi – for the Rugby World Cup 2011. This is part of their ‘Opinion Leaders‘ programme which aims to attract A-list celebrities to tell the world what a good time they had in New Zealand.

According to the release “Tourism New Zealand first worked with Hiroshi when he took part in the opening ceremony for the Giant Rugby Ball venue in Tokyo late last year. His appearance at the Ball helped ensure huge exposure for the Ball during its time in Japan.”

Hiroshi Tachi shot to fame in a telly show called Police – Western Division which is completely awesome.  I hope that some of the media arising from Hiroshi’s trip to New Zealand looks like the opening credits to the show.

WARNING – ITS LOUD.
